My love for photography began when I got my first camera from my former boyfriend back in year 2001. It was like a disposable, transparent-plastic blue manual camera, given by some missionaries from USA. He then gave that as a gift in our “monthsary” during that year. I can still remember the blue, accordion-style hobby camera. I loved capturing events/activities of my family, friends, church mates and school mates with that camera. I never got over the excitement I felt as I captured great moments on film. Saving some money, I make it a goal to develop every film as soon as possible to see all my shots.
I intentionally study photography last quarter last year, through reading books, visiting and staying long hours in bookstores, reading magazine, sometimes even just browsing it, watching tutorials online, and youtube (voice & sight coaching). I bought some related softwares to enhance my photgraphy skills, too. Last quarter last year, 2008, my photography dedication began by working in a few photoshoot for debu & ministry programs/events, where I specialized in portraits and more on candid shots. I also had the opportunity to work for the backstage of my organization’s various workshops & programs for evangelism of our church & help in the production wherein we build our own photography studio and gallery, practicing with our own portraiture, and had lots of fun helping my colleagues, clients & assistants to pick out the right costume, concept, colors, make-ups, & set-ups.
On any assignment, my intention is to bring a sense of personality and feeling to the project. Creating an image that engages the viewer on an emotional, as well as graphic level. I love it, working to create the right ambient and circumstance to obtain such images.
I am an accountant by profession (but used to be an artist back then during my schooldays), presently working in Rawlings Foundation, Inc. as marketing manager for the almost three years now and been bitten by a photo bug since late 2008.
Capturing special moments and preserving your personal history for generations to come is so important. I would be honored to be the one you choose to capture the beautiful, yet fleeting, memories that make up your life. I specialize in capturing those precious moments in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
I enjoy most of these:
Night , candid, indoor and event photographies.
I consider myself as a hobbyist, though people comment like I’m a pro already ... "learning is a continuous process"
Bought CANON 450d DSLR, body only (downgraded from 40d SLR, for several reasons) last year before my birthday on October. Amazing how God provide the desire of my heart, not knowingly that it was just a gift from my beloved tita abroad.
What happened to my digital camera before SLR one? It ws in Iba, Zambales, when I said good bye to it! I accidentally dropped & broke my canon digital camera back in June 2, 2008 (during my last day in camp, when a youth bumped into me and that’s it!). After weeks of review of several models, I finally decided to get only the body and just wait on the following accessories. I did play on those borrowed lens from a girl friend, during my first 2 weeks. By the way, I’d like to thank her for allowing and trusting me to use all her gadgets, she did play an important role & one who influence me to shoot and explore in this slr. So, folks meet my baby ICE=)

If you will notice, I am a night photographer, by choice and by necessity (busy in the office during daytime).
PERSONAL ATTENTION
All portrait sittings are offered by appointment only. A typical session runs between 1 and 2 hours in length. I like to take my time, allowing my subjects to be relaxed and comfortable during the portrait session. This allows me to better capture your true personality.
During our initial conversation, I will ask you about the subject's special interests. For example, what’s your favourite colors, outfit, your dream and wanting to be and how you see yourself in the canvass? Adding these special items will help add memories that are personal and will last a lifetime.
CONVENIENCE
You have the option of coming to my place for the photo shoot, or I will come to you. If you prefer to do the session in your home, I can bring a studio setup with basic backdrops, lighting and props, or we can use your home as a natural backdrop for your portraits. Another option is to shoot your session at an outdoor location of your choice, such as a local park or garden, coffee shops & just a random-road trip.
NO PRESSURE
I am not a “hard sell” photographer. You are not restricted on the number of poses in a portrait package. Your proofs will be online for you and your family/friends to view and order for 30 days after your session date. Portraits are sold by the sheet, so you have flexibility to build your own package.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have or to schedule a session.
Visit my own website, too.
Sincerely,
